By further outsourcing their IT infrastructure to MainOne’s Tier III datacenter, MDXi, trailblazing companies are able to focus on their core business, reduce inefficiencies, improve production capacity, and enhance customer service. These assertions were made by customers at the recent breakfast events hosted by MainOne for the health, manufacturing, e-commerce, media and hospitality sectors recently. These sessions which had in attendance C-suite executives and IT heads was themed “Future proofing your business with ICT”.

Expanding on the theme, the Product Manager- Data Center services, MDXi, Vremudia Oghene-Ruemu highlighted sector specific solutions offered by the company and how various Nigerian businesses in these sectors have adopted and successfully implemented them for success in today’s market. According to him, “There is massive uptake of technology by businesses looking to stay a step ahead of competition while increasing profitability and market share. According to Adesimbo Ukiri, CEO Avon HMO, “leveraging MainOne’s services has helped us remove the barrier to health care access in Nigeria as patients can now easily subscribe to various health plans online at the click of a button from their smart phones. Having our servers at MainOne’s datacenter decreased our downtime risks, enabled us to operate 24/7 even when there was heavy flooding on the island restricting movement. Being in the healthcare sector, 100% uptime is required for us to succeed and so far we have not had any downtime with MainOne” she continued.

Adding to this, the CTO of UAC, Mr. Anthony Omotoso, said “as a large enterprise, we had to run several server rooms in multiple regions across the country all requiring 24/7 power, staff, and security accruing huge capital and operating costs which was not sustainable. In trying to align our IT goals to the business objectives, we needed to consolidate all our business critical servers at a Tier III facility which made us engage MainOne.
